Community Choir

Today we get to start practicing for the Easter Canta. I look forward to this every Easter season. It really helps put me in the right frame of mine. The music is very moving and powerful. We have some delightful people in the choir. Our first practice there was 35 there.

Camper Show

Every year they have this great camper show that my husband and I like to go to. But they use to always have it presidents weekend or Daytona weekend. But the last few years they have moved it up a week which falls on a weekend that I work. So we have been going up on friday night. I usually try to get off work early and then we head up there. Well this year it almost didnt happen. My husband didnt think he was going to make it home but at the last minute it worked out and we got to go. We enjoy camping. We have a great group of people we go with so it keeps it exciting. We also like to each year try new places.

Middle daughter moves

Today our middle child our daughter starts her new job in the big city. She graduated from college and was hired back in our home town. Her intentions were to get some experience and then her desire was to work at some big corporation in a big city away from home. Well today is that day. She is so excited. I feel mixed emotions about this. But I am happy for her.

A day with my brother & sister in law

Today we started out by watching my brother in law put signs on the side of a semi trailor. He has a vinyl business and had to work till noon. Was interesting how its not as easy as you might think. Also sometime the working conditions arent the greatest. Then we went out for lunch at Subway. Frome there we went to the home show. Found some great ideas for our house. Another one of the on going project in my life. Then we were hunger again so we went to Carlos O Kellys for supper. It was a fun day and relaxing for me. Also enjoyed their company this was really different for them and us because we didnt have and kids. A new stage of our lives. Not sure if we would like this empty nest but I think we will get use to it

The Big Race

Today is the big race. I of course am cheering for Matt Kenseth. But first things first my husband and I found out there is a camper show out at the fairgrounds so we decided to head to that and we would be back in plenty of time for the race it doesnt start till after lunch. To our surprise we thought we were going to some small show but it turned out to be a good one. We saw alot that we liked. The one fifth wheel that my husband likes is the Excel. The one they had there had a really nice floor plan. Then we looked at the motor homes that Coachman makes. Wow was that nice. You really need to be using it full time. Well its time to head back to the party. The race was kinda uneventful till close to the end. Then we had a bunch of crashes and bottom line my guy push the guy in front of him into first place and then he spun out and finished in 26 or 27th.

Daytona 500 weekend

Today is friday and we are going to Iowa for the weekend. Every year my husband brother has this Daytona Party on the Daytona 500 weekend. He started this for all the people that help him with racing. Most of which are family members. The last few years we havent been able to attend, but this year decided to try to go. This was to be a nice get away weekend for us also.

January in the North Country

Today my parents leave for Florida. We have had spectcular weather for January in the North country and now when they are packing up we have reports of winter weather moving in. I wish they would have left one day earlier. It been wonderful having such mild temptures and not much snow to this point. One earlier snow in November was 10 inches at once but nothing much since that.
